The Upcoming Events box displays the events that are coming up soon.Your website visitors can click on the event links within the Upcoming Events box to drill down and display detailed information about the event. This makes it easy to see exactly what is coming up and find out more information about those particular events.
Fully Automated Event Processing
The Upcoming events box only shows those events that are in the future or currently being held.
Any events that have past are automatically removed from the Upcoming Events box.
So you can now breath easy knowing that the system is quietly keeping your website up to date without you having to do anything at all. No more worrying about manually updating your website (or costly website update fees) when an event has finsihed; the Mindwire Content Manager does it all for you.
Controlling what appears in the Upcoming Events box
You can set the number of days the Upcoming Event box "looks" into the future. The default is 14 days, so the Upcoming Event box will only display those events that are coming up within the next 14 days.
Of course, you can change this "days to look ahead" value to whatever you like. Want to show the upcoming events for the next 30 days ahead? Simply log into the Mindwire Content Manager, and update the "days to look ahead" to 30 days. Easy.
Case Study
The Business Liaison Association (BLA) utilises the Events Calendar and Upcoming Events component.
Events such as Executive Commitee meetings are entered into the Mindwire Content Manager and automatically displayed on the BLA website.
If committee members need to find out when the next Executive Committee meeting is, then all they do is go to the BLA website and look at the upcoming events or events calendar.
If they would like to know more information on the upcoming executive commitee meeting, such as the time and place, and even to download and print proxy forms, they simply click on the event link which opens a page containing all the details of the event.
Not only are commitee meetings recorded into the Content Manager, but all awards cermonies, competitions, business lunches, strategic meetings, and newsletter deadlines are recorded.
